Notably, plant-based diets was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q2 2023, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of sharing economy and robotics, according to GlobalData.

Of the top leading companies in the consumer industry, Barry Callebaut had the greatest increase in references for plant-based diets in Q2 2023, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified four plant-based diets-related sentences in the company's filings - 0.7% of all sentences - and an increase of 100% in Q2 2023 compared with Q2 2022. Mondelez International’s mentions of plant-based diets rose by 100% to 2 and Danone’s by 100% to 1 and Deckers Outdoor’s by 100% to 1 and Kellogg’s by 100% to 1.
