Xebra Brands has lined up the Canadian launch of a THC-infused lemonade through a co-packing arrangement with BevCanna Enterprises.

Vicious Citrus will debut in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario early next year ahead of an expansion to “other provinces”. BevCanna will handle the production of the lemonade, with Xebra becoming its fifth cannabis “white-label client” in the country.

“Our extensive evaluation of potential co-packing partners in the Canadian space made it very evident that BevCanna is the best positioned and most qualified to consistently execute on Xebra’s beverage strategy,” said Xebra president Rodrigo Gallardo. “BevCanna also has the ability to scale with us as we introduce more of our innovative brands to Canadian consumers.”

As well as Vicious Citrus, Xebra’s cannabis drinks portfolio also includes HighJack energy drink and CBD sports beverage Conquer.

BevCanna is approaching the first anniversary of its acquisition of Naturo Group, which owned the Trace line of plant-based mineral and sparkling beverages.
